PAPAJOJO Moved to New Hosting

If you visit this blog before you may notice that i haven’t post any updates for the last few days. It’s not because of there’s nothing to write. But the thing is i was working on the migration of PAPAJOJO blog. Yeah, we moved our hosting from HostMonster to GoDaddy. And off course this decision i made after considering few concerns. I also moved my other blog Technospeedia to GoDaddy. And the hardest thing was that i did everything my self without any help from other person. I faced few problems during the migration but now everything is running well. And starting from next week i’ll publish posts regularly like before.

This is probably a bit late but i think it’s still worth to tell to you. Few months ago the UniqueBlogDesigns, who made the design of JohnChow’s blog offered one of their premium WP Theme for free. AdBrite Graphical Ads Now Use CPC

To respond the economic crisis and the frozen growth of online advertising, AdBrite who represent more than 85,000 websites recently announced that their graphical ads now opting cost-per-click (CPC) pricing instead of the previous click-per-impression (CPM) based. Previously advertisers who pay for CPM based ads assume the full risk of impressions that may never convert into click or sales. But with this change advertisers can lower their risk by paying only when a banner is clicked.

Basically this new system will allow advertisers to set the CPC bid, daily budget and targeting criteria. The minimum bid allowed is 20-cents per click. The higher you bid, the higher the likelihood that your ad will win the auction and be displayed on the sites you want. In addition to advertiser benefits, CPC pricing rewards AdBrite’s high-quality publishers by compensating them for full benefit of their contributions to each advertisers. With this, AdBrite publishers will se a significant increase in their revenue.

You may know about entrepreneurs-journey.com, JohnChow.com or Problogger.net. They are few of famous bloggers with thousands daily visitors. You can imagine if you can promote your blog on their blog. But how much it will cost you? You will think twice to advertise on these blogs especially if your blog is only personal blog unless you have huge amount of money. But from my experience you always have chance to get listed on these kind of blogs and off course it’s free. This is a good way to promote your blog.

1. Writing Comment
The first way you can do to promote your blog is by writing comment on someone’s blog. By doing this you will leave a link to your blog and it will be listed under the post. The thing that you need to do is writing a good and attractive comment so people will click on your blog link just want to know about your blog because of your good comment.

2. Top Commentator
Some famous blogs put a ‘Top Commentators’ widget on their blog. I notice this when i check there’s a visitor to my blog came from entrepreneurs-journey.com. And when i check to the blog i found that i was on the ‘Top Commentators’ list. You can find a ‘Top Commentators’ widget on this blog and i know that some people have clicked on their link.

3. Link to Blog Post
When you write a post you probably refer to someone’s blog post. In this case don’t be afraid to link to that blog. By doing this your link will be appeared as comment on the blog post and people will click on it. I did this few times ago when i link to a blog post in Google blog. Twilight Movie Now Playing in Theater

Have you make a plan for this weekend? If not you probably want to consider to watch the Twilight Movie which is officialy released today in theater. You can check on your location for the schedule and place where you can see the film. You may have watched the thrillers or reading the novel before and now the time is coming to see it on theater after waiting for a quite long time.

Gmail Colors and Themes, Is It Important?

I log on to my Gmail account this morning and found there’s a new feature called colors and themes. I check to Gmail blog and notice that this feature was released few days ago. This themes feature is actually developed by Gmail fans that’s why Google said that this is unofficial extensions. The question is, is it really important?

We all know that many people said that the Gmail GUI is terrible. Looks like this is the answer from Gmail fans to this opinion. Personally i don’t really see any benefit of having this colors and themes feature. Besides doesn’t make any different it also makes Gmail takes more time to load. However some people i know likes to have this kind of thing just like having themes for MySpace, Friendster, etc.

Well, now if you want to enable this feature you can simply login to your Gmail account. From Settings go to Themes tab and click on the theme you like to use. You will be asked for your location, just put and click ok. Currently there are 30 themes available you can pick. Of these 30 themes i picked the Zoozimps theme for my inbox. What about you?
