The 2nd Annual Open Web Awards conducted by Mashable is just started. This award goes through an online nominating and voting process. This year the awards will go to the top achievements in 26 categories. The first Open Web Awards last year voted winners included Facebook, Digg, Google, Meetup, Twitter, Netvibes, woot!, Last.fm and Mahalo.

The nominations will be held from November 5th until November 16th 2008. Th first and final rounds voting will be held from November 19th to December 15th and the winners will be announced on December 16th. You can also put a widget of this award on your blog. So, go and start vote for your favorite websites!
